I was looking for one of these at Costco and they have been sold out for a while. I think there were 4 in Tacoma. Thats only 160 miles away.... I just got bit by the 3ch heli bug and Killbucket's reviews on rcheligroups have been invaluable. Thanks for steering me away from some real dogs.

thanks!
But always keep in mind the dynamic nature of the Chinese Toy Market: what's pooh today could be good tomorrow (rare) or vice-versa.
Last year, you couldn't GIVE me a Double Horse anything. The 9053, 9074's were pure Coptergeist, wanting flesh in random ways like a bored serial killer. But now people are reporting liking, and -gasp- even repairing them...I may just have to order one with a side of "crow"...
I am dying to find out if the Radio Shack versions of this thing have the same fit and finish I've found inside of these. They are truly some of the cleanest-looking 3-channel copters I've had in my hands.
The copter I am giving away has been flown ONCE. It is a 27migglehertz version, my other 3 are 49 miggles' worth. Since that makes for one oddball, it gets the go-away. My original intention was to keep it as a SpairCraft (parts hulk), but I think it will be fun to give one away at a point when NONE can be obtained, anywhere*. Wouldn't it be a hoot if it ended up going to somebody who just found a (Truly putrid) Ed Hardy** 2-channel under the tree?
*My guess is this model is too good to last. And we're finding it in predominantly seasonal-only shelf locations. **Disgusted rant, way overdue here. Look for it.

Well this is my one and only chance of getting my hands on one of these "not available in the UK" helis.

Look for it.If I don't win yours, I may buy a Radio Shack version or see if my local Costco gets any returns after Christmas. Last week I bought my first two 3ch helis. A Protocol tiger jet which is very obviously a re-branded s107. I love it and have done the airhog tail boom flip mod. The speed increase has made it much more fun to fly. I work at a theater and I can really get it zooming out on stage. The other was a mistake but only a $17 one. I was at Fry's and the box said 6020-1. If that thing has a gyro in it, it does nothing. I tried your prop bending trick but cant quite get it right. The battery is awful anyhow so I may save that one for parts if I ever get a gyro enabled 6020 or use the tail boom on another s107. I ordered 2 S107s from XHELI.com and after reading the forums I am a little worried but I will wait and see how it goes. Thanks again for being such a prolific poster on rcgroups and sharing all that you have learned.

Just to throw this out there, if anyone wants to order one I'd be happy to receive it at my address in Canada and forward it to you. You pay only the actual shipping costs. That is if you want one of these guys so badly that you'll trust a stranger on the internet (I know I'm trustworthy and will not burn you).

I want a Karma apple right now...no, I wanna play Carmageddon (one, not the hopelessly borked #2), that's it. I get so confused.

To be considered for the choice, you MUST reply in THIS thread, with the minimum response being at least..."me, too". [/b][/quote] Woah ... good thing I saw this thread. I was calling around looking for that heli, but I was too late and all the Costcos were sold out. Timing is everything, ya know. Throw me in the hat too! ;D

Place me in the running to win this beautiful little prize. Very generous of you Mr Killbucket, good to see that there are plenty of decent people left in this world. To make things interesting, if I win this helicopter I promise to train my wife how to fly it and once she gets the hang of it, I will arrange for her to fly and land this helicopter on my bare arse. A YouTube video of this event will be posted in this thread. I can't promise that she will be able to accomplish this task but I can promise a YouTube video of the attempt. It's a win win situation. I get a nice free helicopter. My wife may become more susceptible to this hobby of mine (via means of my public humiliation) and all those that missed out on the freebie will be entertained.
