The Syma Phoenix/Phantom come in two different canopy styles and 4 different color schemes listed as: 6010-1(Black long canopy. 6010-2(Red long canopy) 6010-3(Purple short canopy) 6010-4(red.white short canopy) All versions have a groscope which makes these helicopters very stable, forgiving and easy to operate making you look like a pro first time out. The contol box has a heavy, quality feel without a cheap, noisy and frail feeling typical of cheaper models. I have had no trouble with losing reception or control even over a kerosun heater and close to a stero that was on almost full blast. The feel of the 6010 in flight is very responsive, light and peppy(you need only to be gentle on the controls) The turbo(accel) button is a fun touch and makes the 6010 just that little bit more pleasing than any other 3 channel this size. The only thing I have noticed, as well as others, is that trimming to counter left yaw takes away power and uses the battery quicker. It is better off to use Killbucket's technique of flattening the blades to give less resistence to the effected yaw rate. This does work and keeps the trim more toward nuetral where it should be. So in conclusion, if I knew someone that wantd to get a taste of helicopter flight fast and with hardly any investment, I would tel them to get the 6010 hands down. It has proven to me to be a great deal and the best bang for the buck. I see this model drawing in more and more helicopter enthusiast in days to come. You can't go wrong.

Def on my to-get list for this year, even though Wifey gloms any teeny-copter she sees, anything smaller than S107, is soon not mine. Wanna see a lot of 3-channel copters? cdn.attracta.com/sitemap/162464.htmlQuestions?

Are you saying that you do not have a 6010 out of all of your helis? I don't believe you, lol.
Go ahead, because I am curious to see what you think of it.

I got an "Eagle" 6010 with the red/white short canopy (6010-4) and the company name was not Syma on the box.

Yes, the 6010 has nothing do to with Syma, you should probably edit your first post to reflect this.
I can vouch for the 6010, it's a great flyer and a lot of fun. The turbo button adds a lot of speed to forward flight, you can really run out of room fast.
Here's a few videos of me flying my 6010 (1st video = red 6010, 2nd video = black 6010):

Looks like a great flier. Just a few MONTHS back, you had to fiddle, practice, and tune, to get what this does, stock.

thanks - And the PP is correct: 6010/Eagle/Phantom/Phoenix choppers to my knowledge were never sold under the Syma brand. All the ones I have are "Lishitoys" brand, and I believe some have boxes labled "Zengrun"(?)
Can the OP or Thom correct that pls?

All the ones I have are "Lishitoys" brand, and I believe some have boxes labled "Zengrun"(?) Can the OP or Thom correct that pls? I just realized that my Zengrun Z008 is 6010 clone/knock-off/inspired-by model. I don't have any pics of it handy but things like the led location, pcb location, battery size chassis design, landing skids, tail decos, flybar are all the same or very similar. There is some small differences like the lower frame plates don't encase the gears and are made of a metal that is flat grey in appearance. I've found this machine to be a much touchier flier the my S107, much faster piro rate and gains/loses altitude FAST, more ff speed as well. Mine does not have the "turbo" button but it does have side fans to add the 4th channel of flight "control". The side fans usefulness is debateable and I may end up taking them off. Zengrun also makes a Z007 that doesn't have the the side fans. I'd say the Zengrun is not a 6010 but close. I'll start a thread with some pics and a write-up of it when I get time.

due to my ludicrous dealings with xheli i have two of these, sort of. minus the main shaft of the initial one sent to me, and the fact i can't confirm rx or battery issues without a working tx leaves me with a purple/white eagle and a black/gold phoenix.
anyone want to work out a trade of some sorts, if one complete 6010 and one minus main shaft is exciting to you, feel free to shoot me an offer. i'll be flying my s026. hehe.

Isn't there a place where you can have gift-wrapped cow-poo delivered to somebody, as a statement?Xheli needs a semi load, maybe they'd get the picture...I see nada but junk-copter "in stock" there now...and all of the "out of stock" notations make me feel like a chump for even browsing there. "Look at all the cool stuff you cannot have"...or something! OH yeah, the TOPIC... So with two of them, you cannot make flying? Hm, I smell the Kingsford coming.

the kingsford may just be the ticket, now that you mention it.
i'd love to see their stupid faces... "oh my, someone has sent us a a bowel movement!"*
with all the qc issues i've read about on these, this may have ended up being their fate anyways.
