Hello, everyone. New member here, and just found this board. It isn't very active, but hopefully there are still some members around.
I'm repairing some of my older R/C choppers, even the junky ones, which brings me to this post. The only ones I can't get working are a pair of old Qifel ones that use IR instead of RF. One of the controllers (I have two of these) is full-on dead, and one of the choppers is broken beyond repair.
But the other controller I managed to get working (just needed a cleaning). The second chopper had a dead battery, which was soldered to the board. I hacked a new 500mA battery into it, and it takes a charge and the power light comes on.
However, I can't get it to sync to the remote.
These remotes have 3 channels on them. Normally you would turn on the chopper, then turn on the controller, then move the throttle from off to full and back to off again. That didn't do anything. Tried it on all 3 channels.
Any idea what might be wrong here? Or is the sync process different on these older models?
