Three of the four Costco birds, the Big Chinook, and one Firebird (these are still all going strong, wow!). Wanna see a lot of 3-channel copters? cdn.attracta.com/sitemap/162464.html

None, both my Z008 and my S107 are down for for mechanical right now. Hopefully parts will be here before I leave for a week next Wednesday, I tried to get parts AOG rushed but apparently rc aircraft don't qualify for that. Also have another S107 on order but that won't likely be here before Christmas...
So today I flew imaginary birds.

I was going to fly the costco heli that I finished repairing the top blade holder on but discovered it was not charged. So I flew the red and the black 6010a. Then I fired up the 9808 and it was flying kind of squirrely, about 2 mi into flying one of the bottom blades flew off . Turns out the screw went mia, I'll never find it, so I'll stop at the lhs to see what the have. This makes 2 heli's out of commission in 2 days. Things to do today!!! 1. Check all heli's for loose screws 2. Bang head against wall, To remind myself to do a pre flight check even on the small 3 ch's

Just took the Big Chinook through the whole house, even down the main hall- I'm getting pretty good with it! I used to think it was magnetically attracted to walls, but no more.

Flew my s107 today
Out of curiosity does anyone know the physics of one of these flying next to a wall? It sure does seem that if you get close enough to a wall the copter kind of suctions into it

From what I have seen/read, it is blade wash that sucks you into the wall/ground

Yeah that sounds about right. If I'm guessing right, the rotors are pushing air down so when you get close to the ceiling or wall the rotors push a quantity of the available air down will effectively creating a little bit of a vacuum between the rotors and that surface because of the air not getting replaced as fast as the rotors can displace it...
Just hypothesizing here but seems logicalish to me...

I also flew my 9118 when the wind was 3to4 miles per hour. mods are#1-added weight on front of my battery#2-did lower blade reversal.#3-cut ends of 9053 blades off added them on rotor blade they extend about 3/4 of an inch past end of stock rotor blade ends.I put two tiny self tapping screws on each side of rotor blade to attach new extention.#4-take off back wing in front of rotor blade and reverse it then put it back on.#5-took off metal fly bar and put on plastic flybar from 9077. These mods help alot, make it fly faster and helps on blade strikes. When flying in wind just be carefull when you turn out of wind your speed will increase, keep it throlled up but let off on your forward direction a little.anyone let me know if this helps you.

I flew my Syma S026g mini Chinook outside last evening. I let my nephew (Rookie) have a try at it. He froze on the throttle. The Chinook flew about three stories high in the air. My nephew than cut all throttle. The Chinook crashed into the grass with no damage. Attachments:
