I'd noticed that the Tx's with my 8818's and San Huan 6020's were charging the birds up a bit faster than the USB. But, darnit, that eats batteries, and I only buy copper-tops. Then I saw these El cheapo power converters at Good Ol' frys electronincs, and the wheels turned a bit. Quick and dirty, I just soldered the wires to the battery contacts. Set to 4.5 9 volts. Maybe mark one "AVGAS".... ;D A little more depth, pics, etc here: www.killbucket.com/lipocharger.htm

Looks like like you've got Avgas pumps as well JetA and JetB.
Good idea!

This is cool.
I wish I could figure out stuff like that.
Well I have my old levin control box I am going to try this on. If I get alligator clips instead of solder them to the contacts,it may make a great portable charger that I can plug into the wall rather than eat up my batteries.
Good one, KB.

thanks! I forgot to note that each converter can power two Tx's.

Set to 4.5 volts. Are they set to 4.5v or 9v? I thought when I first read this on your page it said 9 (equivalent of 6x1.5vAA) , but on here you've indicated 4.5.... I'm confuzled...

With the TX, it seemed that the cell charged faster (this is not really what you WANT necessarily with lipo's, BTW), so I set this up. Plus, this was before I got a powered multi-port USB hub...
