Question: I have a coaxial heli/helicopter/dual-rotor toy that still spins with full trim adjustment. There are no on-board adjustment pots! Is there a Cave-Man-easy fix? YES!!! if it spins nose-left, flatten out the TOP blades. If it spins nose-right, flatten the bottom blades. The idea is to give the rotor that's biting in too much, a bit more slip, so the other rotor can exert more torque on the airframe. Put the blade on a flat suface, and press down on top of it, so the trailing edge doesn't curve so much anymore. In other words, make them flatter. Yes it has, but I merely changed the top rotors to smaller rotors from my Levin. Gives the same effect of less resistance.

Your solution is ingenious. Hat's off on even attempting it. I always wondered if coaxials really needed different blades top/bottom, due to the flybar mass...

The flybar on my Levin is a wee bit shorter than the Pheonix one and it is all metal rather than plastic.
It looks like I can do a direct swap of them, because the tiny pin looks like I could push out with a small punch. Shoul dbe fun to see how it effects the flight.

I've been messing with the blades on my 6010 since it wants to yaw nose right too much. These things are very sensitive to the rotor blade shape. Get too nuts with them and you'll find the heli going unstable and crashing ... ask me how I know. Someone said that 6010 blades fit on an S107, so I might try S107 blades on my 6010 to see it that might cure it. If not, then it's motor mis-match on the 6010.

I have an Interceptor 052 heli that I bought at Radio Shack, and it keeps spinning to the left. I trim it all the way to the right but it still goes slowly to the left. I tried flattening the top blades but I think the plastic is too rigid and just bends back into shape, so it doesn't make any difference. Is there any way I can fix this heli so I don't have to trim it so much, or is it just junk?

That is literally the same copter as the costco Bird. Have you tried lubing the shafts with some silicone oil? this should make a big difference. The trim on mine are "cranked over" but can still be adjusted satisfactorily. On the PCB, at the front right edge, there's a white adjustment pot, with wax sealing the top.
I'd be willing to BET this is the factory trim adjustment.
Nothing to lose- note the starting position, of course... I still can't get over the fact they used actual, 300v, color-coded wiring in this. Is your RS bird similar in components/finish to this? www.killbucket.com/bladerunnercopter.htm

It's the same helicopter. I couldn't get the white part to move on mine. I tried greasing up the gears and shafts but it didn't help much. If I turn the top rotors by hand, the gears stick a little. Maybe this is causing it. It seems like there's a little too much gap between the gear and the motor pinion. Is there any way to fix this?

The white part is a plastic threaded tube, with a small carbon lug in the middle. If you dig the wax out of the center, you will see a screw slot.
I think this is the L/R adjust.

If your copter CAN adjust to center and hold, regardless of the knob setting, leave as-is.
It is VERY easy to damage the adjuster.

Lube the top bearing, just under the upper rotor- too much drag here. Once lubed, you CAN adjust "in" opposite rotation.

The gear that controls the top rotors is binding and sticking with the pinion on the motor. If I hold them closer together it doesn't do it. Is there any way to fix this?

Not that I know of...My upper rotor shaft was too snug to the lowers' bearings. I loosened the screws on the lower gear, and relaxed the fit a bit, tightened it back up.
Seems lube makes the biggest difference.
