1 Costco Copter. First flight is gonna have to wait til tomorrow. I'm off to visit my 90 y/o father in law who is having a pacemaker installed today. Hope the radios don't interfere with its operation

So I started this one up late last night and decided that indoors might not work for me. It's quite a bit faster than the S032. What I did notice was how unstable it was in comparison. I believe part of it is the missing flybar weights. I'll fix that soon. My father flies fixed wing RC and has lots of goodies over there. I also noticed what I believe is some TBE. Not a lot, but will not hover stationary like the S032. Trim is as far to the right as it will go, and almost takes away the spin. It is manageable. I took it outside this morning, -10 C and no wind to get a better feel. I got it off my deck, over the rail to go into the backyard and then a hard pitch to the right, nose down and it was into the rock garden 10 ft. below in about a second. Nothing broken so I move out to the grass and try again. Get it into the air and man is this radio ever glitchy. Starts going up and I back off the throttle and she keeps going up. Completely let go of the throttle at about 30 feet and it keeps going for maybe another 1 or 2 seconds then starts to fall. Full throttle again to counter the fall, and manage to save it just before it hits the ground. I learned a lesson, I'll try again. I manage to get it to hover at about 8 feet but this thing will not listen to my input. It's got a mind of it's own. I'll be trying another battery in the transmitter as a first step. Second will be a trip to my flying field. The Catholic church hall. Nice and big, and definitely no air movement

New battery solved many problems. I'm thinking that dollar store batteries the wife picked up were a bad idea. Had much more success second time around, and am now flying this throughout the house without problems. This is a fun heli to fly!
