I bought an Extreme XL from www.extremecopters.com and its been great but I wanted it to look more "techy". What I did was took off all the extra pieces including the body and now its AWESOME!
It looks like a flying robot with all the LEDs lite up, control is about the same but the weight is lighter since Ive removed the body and some supports.
Does anyone ever remove the landing gear on these remote control helicopters? It might take more weight off the copter...
