I have the NEW S031 Giant Syma on the way!You only know that if you read THIS forum, BTW.... Wanna see a lot of 3-channel copters? cdn.attracta.com/sitemap/162464.html EDIT: It never came, the distributor chickened out on sending one! AVOID the SYMA S031 until further notice- this was the "New model with improved batteries and stuff", BTW.

I got a new one today in the mail. Has too many channels for this forum though. Well I guess if i cut it in half, would that make it a 3 channel? Mike

If it's a Free Bird, it will soon enough be 3-channel. ;D I do think a shiny new ORANGE one is on the way. Since I told this vendor to quit sending me copters, they didn't exactly say one was coming, just that I'd see it... FIRST order of biz will be reinforcing the head against shattering. If you so much as burp on the flybar, it takes the head out in grand fashion. This has to be done before any flight, or any running. Once it's done though, a full-on upside-down crash can't break it -I know. Contrary to popular belief, you can get a coaxial inverted*. Thinning the flybar to add some flex also helps. This is done on both sides. fully-modded head, with self-lubricating BRASS flybar pin. Zero TBE in this setup. another must-do: lighten the thing by nixxing the LEDs, the outer sideplates, and make some thin aluminum skids up. Even better, omit the gear completely, for a gear-up look. Of course, you will need a few Xanax to get used to hand-lading it... Good things I can say about s031: It's very tightly controllable: And it's fairly fast. If they've fixed the power/lifespan issues. it may be a winner. *It won't be pretty most of the time.
