Seen this staggering list? cdn.attracta.com/sitemap/162464.htmlSaw a large 2-channel shatter-craft in a garishly-decorated box at Fry's. It had Mr. I-tattoo-everything-shouldn't-I?'s mark of distinction: one austere plastic Poohcopter overlaid with a hurried Pimp My ride job thrown over it. It tried to adjust the treble and bass, but realized that I wasn't handling a 1982 JCPenny stereo with painted-on controls. Easy mistake...however, I'm pretty sure balance could and would need adjustment: Due to the slop in the copter's parts, I could feel its CG shifting as I tilted the box in my hands, hoping more savvy customers wouldn't see me holding it, or at least not comment. I suppose I could make up a story about getting my Chump Brother-in-law a Chump gift... I put the box down and picked up a clone S107 in some really murky to describe colors purple-brown, and tan-white. Kinda kool. A North American Lummox ambles up, picks up the very Ed Hardy box I've just relinquished possession of. He looks intrigued...wishing I was Canadian, I utter: "Poohcopter". He snorts twice (this means "scarf my shorts", or "It's for my Chump Brother" in Lummox), and turns away so I won't comment anymore. I think he worked in Wood Products or something, because he lumbered off to pay for it. For a brief and shining moment, I wanted to be a Mall Kiosk guy, and Harvest Lummoxes (Lummoxi?) all day.

I hope I never need $20 so badly that I'd be handling these uglies. ;D
It's like Ol' Hardy has no brains- I bet returns are eating him alive on K-rap like what I've seen. I've yet to see any decent models in his boxes...since T-shirts are more profitable, EH will prolly dump the copters like a hot rock this year.

Who IS Ed Hardy? "Hardy was born in 1945 in Corona del Mar, Newport Beach, California. He attended the San Francisco Art Institute and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in printmaking. Hardy was a student of Sailor Jerry Collins and, through his association, was able to study tattooing in Japan in 1973 with the Japanese classical tattoo master, Horihide. He became recognized for incorporating Japanese tattoo aesthetic and technique into his American style work" He's the Steven Seagal of art...(see: Big Doof)Why we're seeing so much POOH:"In 2002, Hardy licensed Ku USA, Inc. to produce a line of clothing based on his art. Within two years, the collection had drawn the interest of Saks companies. Hardy and Ku USA formed Hardy Life LLC, which holds the trademark ownership as well as the copyrights to all his images. In 2004, Christian Audigier licensed the rights to produce the Ed Hardy clothing line, which is based on Hardy's imagery. Prior to the Ed Hardy clothing line, Audigier was the Head Designer at Von Dutch Originals, which marketed the imagery of Kenny Howard. Audigier has attempted to replicate the marketing techniques employed by Von Dutch Originals, by marketing directly to celebrity clients and by opening stores in high profile fashion districts. Ed Hardy stores are located in New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Honolulu, Tucson, Dubai, Kuwait, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Mumbai. In May 2009, Iconix Brand Group announced that the they had acquired a 50% interest in Hardy Way, LLC, the owner of the Ed Hardy brand and trademarks. The Company paid $17 million for its interest in Hardy Way, consisting of $9 million in cash and $8 million in stock. In addition, the sellers could be entitled to receive an additional $1 million in stock pursuant to an earn-out based on 2009 royalties received by Hardy Way. Hardy Way estimates that 2009 royalty revenue will be approximately £10 million." Seriously, that's a piddly amount for what was just described. The writing is on the wall.
I was right, though, he caters to moneyed idiots by design.
