Seventeen bucks? Whoa. Just eight or so months ago, this was the going rate. Even non-gyro, this is a STEAL on a full replacement parts kit for your gyro model. Look hard enough, you can get the gyro board (It fits right in!) and upgrade these for a really cheap ride. This is a tried-and-true model, before the Syma S107's showed up, it was THE 3-chee copter to own, bar none. This was the case, even before the MEMS gyros were added in. Minus the gyro, you need contacts in another dimension almost, to make it fly straight. It's more like surfing: you get er' a going, and then steer about 3 feet ahead of yourself. It is possible to fly one as smoothly as a gyro bird, if you practice enough (Mall kiosk guys make a LOT of money at this). So, if you find yourself with the non-gyro under the tree (hey, don't fault Wifey for finding a bargain, even if it's hopelessly Old School), don't lament; it can be very rewarding to "get the hang of" a non-gyro copter, and it will only help your reflex training if you should later move up to copters that can (will) fly sideways on you. It is getting harder to leave Fry's without a coaxial...prices are great...but with a pile of fresh copters already, I keep finding old video gold to buy instead. I brought her home a copy of Stuart Little, this WILL grease the skids for the next copter...or two. Still trying to convince her that Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man is a fun flick to watch...
I lost count- Fry's must have 15 different 3-channels to choose from now. Several new MIL-looking birds are there, these are the most likely to gain a ride home soon. They had piles of these non-gyro 6020's, all I could do was watch haplessly as people snatched them up. A whole new generation will soon learn just how much "gyro" helps. My guess this is the last of the non-MEMS-enhanced Xmas's we'll see. I can't think of one other non-gyro copter still being marketed...successfully.

Their .com may as well be on a different planet. I've rarely found the same offerings in both places.
Fry's markets a bit oddly. Instead of just profiting on the sale, mfgr's must/may also/instead pay for shelf or listing space.
That's why they have 20 TV sets at the same price in their stores, whereas most retailers have one or two models at each price-point.
What you see online may be wholly based on who is willing to pay to have their items listed.

I can fly mine on the stage at the theater I work at and my co-workers look on in horror or abandon ship altogether. I have barely managed to get this thing under control on a few occasions before the battery gives out. I guess it's good practice for squirrelly 4ch helis I may own in the future but I have had to replace several gels in the box booms already.
