I had a crash with my bravo III this morning and broke the tip off the landing skid. I tried a little CA to put it back together but it is not holding. Any ideas to fix this or should I bite the bullet and order a new one.
I just hate to pay $4.99 for a part and nearly $4 for shipping.

If its just the tip, maybe try some masking or packing tap wrapped around to hold them together. I found this video of a great idea to make skids tougher. Should work on any copter.

pretty neat idea. It is just the tip on the right side, broke at the point where the vertical comes down so I can't wrap tape around it. Probably just go ahead and order 2 so I will have a spare in case it happens again.
Might pick up some of that plastic dip to see how it works. Just wonder about the added weight.

I have heard of other gear being put onto these. A Google should bring up something.

I did a quick measure and looks like the skids from my mcx 2 would fit problem is the NE Bravo III incorporates the battery contact into the skids so they would require modification or change batteries and connectors. $4.99 for the MCX2 skids plus mods/time so I just ordered oem from club heli. Threw in a few other things and ended up with free shipping. I have plenty of other birds I can fly while this one is down.

I just ordered a couple of OEM skids and added a few other things to bring the total over $50 for the free shipping. Ordered from Club Heli.

Got my parts and pieces the other day. She's back in the air and flying again! The new landing skid does not have a connector on it like the OEM does so I un-soldered the old one and soldered it to the new one. I found that the tip on my iron was a little big for the job but I got it done, and ordered a new 1/32 pointed tip for the iron. That way I'll be ready for the next tiny solder job.

Reminds one of playing this game: "Touch the sides...and you got a smoking Lipo, buddy!"
