I feel insulted as a customer when I see only pooh offered for actual sale, among a HUGE grouping of more desirable items that aren't.
It's like they're saying "We know our customers are actually stupid."

that was totally the feeling i got from eric. that i wasn't as bright as he was.
he asked if i would expect walmart or 7-11 to come pick up a return from me if i bought it from one of their stores.
he actually demanded i answer the question. so i dismantled his argument, stating its worse than comparing apples to oranges; brick and mortar and online storefronts are entirely different, especially when it comes to poorly packed / damaged product.
his response? "i'm sorry, my company still cannot pay for return shipping".
here i was thinking if i rose to his "challenge", i might actually win something. sigh. i do so enjoy this daily round of smacktalk about xheli though. =)

I came around the corner, and a guy named Eric (probably not the same one) was eating last Saturday's pot roast out of my garbage can. He looked terrible.
The last time I'd seen him, he had a ring on every finger. His girlfriend was really sleazy-looking, but acted like a perfect Lady. The Maserati he drove was really tuff. I'd see them all the time, at the beach. He'd punch out a couple NOOBS for them to lie on, and then make two more shade the sun from their heads. They always had their boombox playing Ska music, except on Zydeco Day, which was anytime it wasn't windy out. People loved them.
But today, Eric was a sorry, smelly mess. He told me about an Online Battle, one of the most fearsome. "Cheating at Warcraft was really easy," he said, "but selling crummy helicopters while advertising great helicopters ruined me." The story was hard to listen to, because at first, it sounded like he was winning. But the enemy took on a new tactic, one of a sort most reprehensible in the annals of Warfare: they talked to each other.
In the face of his assertions of no such policy, the enemy forces took his policy book, re-wrote key articles, and forced him to read it back, aloud, to God and Everybody. In short order, his Battle station was mired in the mangled former medical waste that was the "helicopters" he was selling. Demoralized, Eric soon found himself browsing Cake decorating forums, and his business crumpled.
Feeling a fair amount of pity for this dog with a kicked butt, I set him up with an interview tomorrow. I'm not sure what the job IS, but I've been assured that "Mall Guy" is indeed a respectable occupation.
He asked how I was doing. I held up my hands.
Ring on every finger.

i didn't think anyone actually bought that thing. it was auto-bundled with my 'purchase'. it required manual removal. strange, that. i do like fms though, i use it with a standard pc gamepad that's veritably bristling with widgets and doo-dads. fun stuff. i crashed so many gee bees. which was anytime it wasn't windy out. for some reason, that particular line above all else is killin me.

The Gee Bee en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Granville_Brothers_Aircraft#Aircraft...amazing it is so remembered, they were fielded few times (24 were constructed- that's it - and only TWO are known to still exist), and had a propensity for killing the pilot (" the R-1 rapidly earned a reputation as, potentially, a very dangerous machine. The small wings, very low polar moment of inertia, and tiny control surfaces made for an aircraft that could rapidly get away from all but the most skilled pilots."). Yet, they are one of the most recognizable models, and wildly popular. They set records, that's why their legacy persists. I got the full FMS package, ordered it by itself with the controller, after wrestling with goofy homebuilt USB "patch" cords for weeks. It just works! I don't know how they do up the whole pkg for $19, but it's a bargain and a half. That it is listed out of stock at the most VISIBLE online seller of ALL, is perplexing.

Through Amazon? Is this Desperation? 4% of 4390 Feedbacks is ~175 un-happys, BTW. If this 94% is a LOW rating for Amazon, I'd be halting the activity if it was me, to limit damage accumulation, and sales attrition. I would think QVC is next.I went to look at the back-in-stock models: low-cost items, and little else.

seems like with a higher price and little stock otherwise, that they don't serve the same niche of a low cost, reliable heli supplier anymore.
seems to be a lot of discussion on the "other" forums regarding retailers "other than" xheli. bout time.

Give me the Macy's experience, I'll pay for it. The day of the cheapcopter from online store is over, Ebay vermin are gobbling that market. I bought 15, $29 helicopters off the shelf at Fry's (they had but TWO models to offer, mind you) last year, at a time when those SAME non-gyro copters could have been had from FleaBay for about half that. It was worth it to me to have the "brick and mortar" security should I have a problem, but more important: I woke up wanting, and went to sleep OWNING. You just can't DO that with online purchasing. I ordered a 3-channel recently, but only because it was unique and new, and not in any store I frequent. I think by the end of the year, even THAT copter will be at Fry's, a few blocks away.
